Optimization – because I feel we’re constantly working on improving our processes, enhancing our skills, and refining the way we work.
Ambitious people – colleagues who care not only about their own development and certifications but also about delivering projects they can be proud of.
A great team – friendly, supportive, warm, and flexible, always ready to help one another.
I’m really lucky to work in HR, where people have strong soft skills and high emotional intelligence. My team is communicative, supportive, and we collaborate on a truly partnership-based level. It’s often fun and lighthearted, but everyone is also highly engaged. Even though we work remotely, I feel like we know each other really well.
Flexibility and adaptability – our tasks aren’t strictly assigned to specific people, so we often share responsibilities depending on current needs. Being open to learning and doing different things is essential. Empathy is also very important, as we collaborate with many stakeholders: managers, candidates, and employees, and need to balance different perspectives with fairness and good judgment.
I’d definitely recommend developing AI-related skills and staying up to date with technology – understanding and embracing AI rather than being afraid of it. Our environment changes quickly, so adaptability and creativity are key. I’d also say: don’t worry if you’ve specialized in just one area of HR. In our team, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to learn new things and get involved in different aspects of the field.
We have regular meetings and one-on-ones, and we use project management tools to stay organized and approach our work with a project management mindset. From time to time, we also meet in person to strengthen our relationships and collaborate face to face. And we’re not afraid of off-topic chats because we believe that talking about personal things now and then helps us build genuine connections.
The feeling that I can help others grow. It’s not always easy, especially when there’s a lot going on, but even when feedback is challenging, seeing someone develop as a result is truly rewarding. I also appreciate having influence and decision-making power – being able to identify areas for improvement, take responsibility, and make a positive impact on the organization gives me a real sense of purpose and motivation.
There’s no HeRo without HR 😉
