We’d like to introduce our Project Manager – Maciej.

With over 10 years of experience in software development, he has built strong expertise in the .NET ecosystem, SQL databases, and Azure. During his studies, he developed a particular interest in machine learning and artificial neural networks. Over the years, he quickly progressed into leadership roles such as Scrum Master, Team Lead, and eventually Manager.

He joined us almost 2 years ago, and thanks to his background, he is able to combine deep technical knowledge with a strong business perspective, ensuring both the technical and strategic success of projects.

We interviewed him, asking 7 questions to gain insights into his leadership style and experience working with his team at Addepto.

What are the first three things that come to your mind when you think about working at Addepto?

The first thing that comes to mind is the people – not only highly skilled technically but also truly passionate about what they do, which makes collaboration inspiring.

The second would be the projects. They are fast-paced, diverse, and engaging, giving the opportunity to work with different technologies, industries, and client challenges.

And finally, building long-term client relationships. It’s very rewarding to see clients coming back to us after completed projects, which shows their genuine satisfaction with our work.

What do you value most about the team you work with?

Passion and skillset, both technical and soft. People here truly understand where the value for the client comes from, and they have a strong consulting-oriented mindset. They are transparent, bring in great ideas, and are not afraid to suggest alternatives to what the client initially asks for, always with the goal of delivering the best outcome and ensuring client satisfaction.

Another important aspect is the openness to feedback. In my teams, I try to foster a culture where feedback is seen as a way to grow and develop in one’s role. At the same time, I remain open to receiving feedback myself, which creates mutual trust and continuous improvement.

What skills do you think are essential to thrive in your team?

Strong sense of ownership – taking responsibility not only for one’s own work but also for what the team delivers as a whole. We don’t focus on pointing fingers or assigning blame, but rather on solving problems together.

At the same time, technical expertise is crucial. Since we work with cutting-edge technologies, continuous learning and striving for excellence are a big part of our culture.

Finally, I think self-sufficiency and mutual trust are key. Especially in smaller, fast-paced projects, we empower people with a lot of autonomy, and I expect the team to use that freedom wisely so that we can collaborate effectively on a foundation of trust.

What advice would you give to someone considering joining your team?

My advice would be to remember that while technical skills are essential, they need to be complemented by strong soft skills and a consulting approach. At the end of the day, it’s not just about building technically excellent solutions, but about making sure they truly address the client’s needs, which often change along the way. That’s why being proactive, open to communication, and willing to engage with clients is so important: sharing ideas, sometimes defending them, and looking for opportunities to add value.

I’d also say: expect a culture of feedback, trust, and autonomy. I give people a lot of space to take ownership and grow, but we also value transparent communication and collaboration. With this mindset, you’ll not only succeed but also really enjoy working here.

How do you maintain good communication and foster development within the team?

By creating an open, supportive environment where the team knows I’m there to help them, not the other way around. I encourage trust, transparency, and feedback, giving people autonomy while making sure they always feel supported. At the same time, I see myself as the face of Addepto for the client, so I focus on ensuring both strong delivery and a positive collaboration experience.

What do you enjoy most about working as a manager?

Every day is different. It always brings new challenges and opportunities, so it’s never boring. I appreciate having a real influence on how the team works and how people experience their work, making sure they have everything they need to succeed.

I also enjoy the direct contact with clients, building long-term relationships that make them want to come back to us. And finally, I value being the face of Addepto in these interactions, representing the company and ensuring clients are satisfied not only with the results but also with the way we collaborate.

If you had your own mug with a quote or motto, what would it say?

Plans are nothing, planning is everything.
