We’d like to introduce our AI Project Manager, Monika

Monika joined us almost a year ago as a Project Manager. With practical experience in IT project delivery, she brings a strong focus on agile project and program management. Her expertise includes stakeholder management, risk and issue management, and process optimization. Guided by values such as integrity, proactivity, and empathy, Monika focuses on delivering real value to clients while fostering open communication, collaboration, and strong team relationships.

We interviewed her, asking seven questions to gain insights into Monika’s leadership style and experience working with her team at Addepto.

1. What are the first three things that come to your mind when you think about working at Addepto?

The first thing that comes to mind is challenging and meaningful projects. We often work on complex problems that require deep expertise. Instead of just implementing what the client initially asks for, we try to understand the real root cause of the problem and guide them toward solutions that truly bring value.

Second, teamwork and support. Collaboration at Addepto is not just a paper value – it’s something you experience every day. Different competencies complement each other, and people genuinely support one another across roles.

Third, curiosity and continuous learning. Our work naturally encourages curiosity, and people here are genuinely interested in developing their knowledge and constantly improving their skills.

2. What do you value most about the team you work with?

What I value the most is their openness and willingness to grow. My team members take responsibility and want to improve.

For me, leadership is about helping others become leaders, not creating followers. I see a lot of potential in my team members, and what’s great is that they are motivated to develop and take ownership of their growth.

3. What skills do you think are essential to thrive in your team?

More than specific skills, I would say it’s about attitude.

First, honesty and openness. I prefer hearing the hardest truth rather than the most beautiful lie. Addressing problems openly and learning from mistakes is essential for growth.

Second, a strong team mindset. I believe success and failures are shared. True teamwork means supporting each other and working together toward a common goal.

4. What advice would you give to someone considering joining your team?

Develop both technical and communication skills.

Technical expertise in areas like data engineering or data science is important, but what we often call “soft skills” are equally critical. In consulting, understanding the client’s problem and communicating solutions clearly is just as important as building the technology itself.

With the rise of AI and automation, many technical tasks can be automated. What becomes even more valuable is how we think, communicate, and approach problem-solving.

5. How do you maintain good communication and foster development within the team?

Good communication starts with clear expectations and well-defined communication channels. Every project and client is different, so it’s important to agree on how we share information and ensure everyone understands each other correctly.

When it comes to development, I strongly believe in mentoring and creating the right environment for growth. My role as a manager is to provide opportunities where people can safely test new skills, learn, and expand their competencies.

6. What do you enjoy most about working as a manager?

What I enjoy the most is working with people. I like listening to their needs and creating an environment where they can perform at their best.

For me, a manager’s role is about removing obstacles and organizing processes so the team can focus on delivering value. I also enjoy the variety – every day brings different challenges and opportunities to support the team.

If you had your own mug with a quote or motto, what would it say?

People first, results always.
